Jawahar Bal Manch is an organization formed for children ranging from 10 years to 17 years of age. The organization takes its name in honour of the first Prime Minister of India, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, one of the greatest thinker, administrators, politician and role model of the 20th century. Above all he was a great lover of children and believed firmly that the child is the father of the man and upheld the cause of the child’s development above every other concern. Jawahar Bal Manch takes its birth following the success of Jawahar Balajanavedi an organization formed for children, to awaken and nourish latent talents in them. Jawahar Bal Manch seeks to inculcate in children the qualities of Social Values, Creativeness and Innovation, Personal Effectiveness, Proactive Participation in Social and National causes, Adherence to Democratic, Secular and Socialist ideals and to take pride in the Nation. The ngaddgdograinigyoung minds will also be exposed to more fact of life in a way that will be easily understood and easy for them to relate to, rather than just academically.
Study , Analysis and Observation
The children should be exposed to various spheres of study. They can choose from such varied items like Geology, Biology, Ecology, Environment, Nature Study etc. A study of landslides in areas where it has occurred and the reason why it happened is one example of a study that children can involve in. they should be given the chance to find the answers themselves from sources like their school study books, libraries, online source etc. They should them be required to create report on the study citing clearly why and how the arrived at the conclusion the arrived at. This helps build an inquisitive nature and the habit of recording their finding in a timely and presentable manner. They will also be exposed to as eye openers for children. The will also see the variety that in nature, only because we choose not to see them.

As Children should be encourage to study, understand and protect the nature. This is an urgent need of the hour, when most of our forests are being deforested, water bodies polluted, urbanization of unimaginable scale happening and very real threats of drastic climate.
This invaluable source of life giving water is literally being destroyed by humans every day. The water bodies of the world are being polluted and their water misused. There is too much of waste being dumped in water bodies. It is a sad truth that ninety percent of water bodies are being destroyed or on the way to being so. This is where the children can step in with useful contributions like preventing waste dumping, active intervention when they see such activity and also by spreading awareness among even adults regarding this.
